Position title: Health Program Officer

Reports to : Trough IFRC – Health Programme Manager to Health Delegate Nias and to Programme Coordinator
Responsible for: CBFA _ Health Project

Purpose
The Programme Manager’s Assistant will work with Federation Health Team, PMI NHQ, Chapter (SUMUT), PMI Nias branch in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation CBFA Programme to improve the health situation of the vulnerable people in Nias island who are victims of Tsunami on 26th December 2004 and Earthquake on 28th March 2005.

Key tasks and responsibilities
· To Assist Health Program Manager in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of CBFA Program
· Conducting training courses for PMI volunteers and community volunteers on CBFA, also independently when necessary
· Liaise and keenly collaborate with PMI SUMUT Chapter and PMI Nias Branch (board members, staffs and volunteers) and contribute in capacity building by training and advising on technical issues.
· Developing education materials for CBFA and organize procurement and distribution procedures of health materials and other training aids.
· Establish and manage CBFA database for documents, guidelines and other materials as a ‘CBFA library’
· Conduct daily administrative task related to program implementation
· Conduct field trips for program implementation and accompany delegates to visit program areas.
· Provide timely and accurate narrative report and financial reports

Duties applicable to all staff
1. Actively work towards the achievement of the Secretariat’s goals.
2. Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross/Red Crescent principles.
3. Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.

Tips: Memancing Panggilan Wawancara Lewat Resume

SABAN pagi hari, di Jalan Asia Afrika, Bandung, sebuah papan pengumuman di salah satu trotoar selalu dikerubungi banyak orang. Di papan itu tertempel lembaran-lembaran koran lokal yang memuat iklan lowongan pekerjaan. Belasan orang yang berkerumun itu dengan serius membaca satu per satu setiap iklan, lalu mencatat lowongan yang mereka minati.

"Resume yang menarik sangat memungkinkan seorang pelamar untuk mendapat panggilan wawancara kerja," ujar Alia Gemala dari Alamcvpro, Professional Resume Consultant.

Alia menyarankan, surat lamaran yang dikirim pelamar sebaiknya berbentuk resume (ikhtisar mengenai data diri) ketimbang curriculum vitae (riwayat hidup). Hal itu dengan catatan tidak ada permintaan khusus dari penyelenggara pekerjaan.

Pertimbangannya, resume hanya perlu memuat informasi yang berhubungan dengan keprofesionalan seseorang. Sementara CV menuntut pemuatan informasi personal yang tak ada hubungan langsung dengan keprofesionalan.

Kelebihan lainnya, resume maksimal dua halaman, sementara CV bisa berlembar-lembar, bahkan sepuluh halaman. "Padahal asumsinya, penyelenggara pekerjaan harus membaca banyak lamaran yang masuk sehingga hanya punya waktu sedikit untuk membaca setiap detail lamaran yang datang," imbuh Alia.

Prinsip dasar resume adalah menyajikan informasi yang jelas, ringkas, dengan format yang rapi. Informasi yang jelas dan ringkas dapat diwujudkan jika pelamar hanya memuat informasi yang berhubungan dengan keprofesionalan seseorang.

Informasi yang tidak berhubungan dengan keprofesionalan adalah informasi yang cenderung personal, seperti status perkawinan, jumlah anak, agama, golongan darah, serta nama sekolah sejak taman kanak-kanak.

"Informasi yang cenderung personal seperti itu memang sebaiknya tidak dicantumkan. Sebab, keterangan semacam itu bisa memancing anggapan-anggapan tertentu yang bisa kurang menguntungkan pelamar. Sementara untuk mengetahui kualitas pelamar yang lebih dalam kan melalui wawancara. Anggapan negatif bisa menyempitkan peluang pelamar memperoleh wawancara," ujar Amir Basuki dari Alamcvpro menambahkan.

Amir mencontohkan, keterangan status pernikahan, misalnya, peluangnya mudah dipersepsikan negatif bagi penyelenggara pekerjaan yang menuntut pekerjanya bermobilitas tinggi. Ada peluang penyelenggara pekerjaan berpikir orang yang telah menikah, terlebih pekerja perempuan, sulit untuk beradaptasi jika pekerjaannya harus sering ke luar kota.

Pelamar yang merasa punya kualifikasi keprofesionalan yang baik, meski sudah menikah, bagaimanapun berhak untuk mendapat peluang dinilai lebih jauh melalui wawancara langsung. Bukan semata dinilai dari keterangan pada resume dan surat lamarannya.

"Melalui resume pancinglah penyelenggara kerja untuk ingin tahu lebih jauh mengenai diri kita melalui wawancara. Jika saat wawancara ditanya status perkawinan, ya jawab sejujurnya. Namun, jangan muat itu dalam resume sebab itu memberi peluang penyelenggara kerja yang berpersepsi negatif dan urung memanggil kita untuk wawancara," papar Amir.

ALIA menegaskan, pelamar jangan terjebak untuk menampilkan resume semenarik mungkin hanya dengan membuat format yang menarik tetapi mengabaikan isi. Mengorganisasi informasi diri adalah hal penting yang harus mendapat perhatian pelamar. Seorang pelamar sebisa mungkin bisa menonjolkan potensi dirinya, misalnya melalui pencapaian-pencapaian (accomplishment) yang pernah mereka perbuat.

"Seorang pelamar kerap kali terlupakan menyajikan accomplishment mereka, tetapi hanya menjabarkan responsibility (tanggung jawab) pada pekerjaan mereka sebelumnya. Padahal, accomplishment bisa menjadi semacam garansi bahwa si pelamar ini dapat bekerja baik dalam berbagai situasi," kata Alia.

Pelamar yang sudah pernah bekerja kerap kali hanya memuat soal tanggung jawab apa saja yang pernah mereka pegang di tempat bekerja sebelumnya. Namun, mereka "lupa" mencantumkan bagaimana pencapaian yang bisa mereka raih berdasarkan tanggung jawab tersebut. Pencapaian atau prestasi bisa juga berarti seseorang dapat menyelesaikan pekerjaan melampaui target yang ditetapkan berdasarkan tanggung jawabnya.

"Namun, Anda jangan pula terjebak menuliskan promosi jabatan sebagai bagian dari prestasi atau pencapaian itu. Kalau promosi tersebut ukurannya enggak jelas, bisa saja calon penyelenggara pekerjaan berpikir bahwa promosi itu subyektif. Bisa saja kan, misalnya karena dia pandai melayani bos lamanya," ujar Amir.

Dengan demikian, penyajian prestasi atau pencapaian merupakan hasil kerja yang konkret. Misalnya, seseorang sebagai pekerja penjual (sales) dalam kurun waktu tertentu bisa mencapai angka penjualan suatu produk dua kali lipat dari target yang dibebankan kepadanya.

"Namun, Anda tetap harus jujur . Jika ada suatu proyek yang pernah dijalankannya berhasil, dan itu merupakan kerja tim, sebutkan bahwa kita bagian dari tim tersebut, bukan prestasi individual," tambah Amir.

Pelamar kerja yang belum berpengalaman, misalnya lulusan perguruan tinggi, mencantumkan kegiatan-kegiatan selama masa kuliah tidak ada salahnya. Namun, sebaiknya hanya mencantumkan kegiatan yang sekiranya cukup penting dan ada pencapaian yang berhasil diperolehnya melalui kegiatan tersebut.

"Saya tidak menganjurkan pencantuman berbagai seminar yang pernah diikuti. Itu kurang relevan dan hanya menambah panjang lembar resume saja," kata Amir.

Hal lain yang juga sering kali dilakukan pelamar adalah menuliskan kalimat-kalimat muluk yang tidak terukur dalam surat lamaran. Seperti lazimnya resume dan surat lamaran (cover letter) masa kini ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Amir mencontohkan kalimat, having strong managerial skill (memiliki kemampuan manajerial yang kuat). "Apakah kalimat dalam surat lamaran itu ada penjelasan di dalam resumenya? Terkadang tidak, jadi hanya kalimat-kalimat muluk yang tidak ada ukurannya untuk diketahui penyelenggara kerja saat membaca," ujar Amir.

Dia menekankan, jika pelamar ingin menuliskan deskripsi diri dengan kalimat-kalimat "tinggi", sebaiknya juga menyertakan bukti konkret dan relevan dalam resume.

"Kalimat-kalimat muluk itu kerap kali muncul mungkin juga karena pelamar, khususnya lulusan baru, mencontoh dari surat lamaran orang lain. Itu sangat tidak disarankan sebab setiap orang unik dengan segala potensi dan kekurangannya," tandas Amir. (SF)

Tips Melamar Kerja Online

Ketika mengirim e-mail pribadi ke teman atau keluarga, Anda bisa sekreatif apa pun, tetapi untuk e-mail yang Anda kirim untuk melamar kerja, berhati-hatilah.
Berikut adalah sejumlah hal yang sebaiknya Anda perhatikan:

* Jangan mengirim e-mail langsung tanpa melakukan kontak terlebih dahulu. Bahkan walaupun Anda memiliki Curriculum Vitae (CV) yang hebat, mengirim e-mail langsung ke seorang HRD manager atau boss sebuah perusahaan untuk melamar pekerjaan di tempat mereka (bahkan walaupun mereka memang membuka lowongan) bukanlah langkah yang baik. Kirimkan lamaran lewat e-mail jika mereka memintanya.

* Jangan menggunakan emoticon (simbol seperti :), atau sejenisnya) pada e-mail lamaran kerja Anda. Maksudnya sih komunikatif, tetapi dalam kasus e-mail lamaran kerja ini bisa dianggap tidak sopan.

* Jangan menggunakan alamat e-mail dengan domain dari tempat kerja Anda sekarang sebagai alamat kontak. Jika boss tempat Anda bekerja sekarang mengetahuinya bisa-bisa Anda segera menjadi pegangguran. Manfaatkan layanan e-mail gratis, seperti Yahoo, Hotmail, Telkom.net atau lainnya, atau gunakan e-mail yang Anda dapat dari ISP yang Anda langgani.

* Kecuali jika diminta, jangan kirimkan CV Anda sebagai attachment e-mail. Pasang rangkuman isi CV Anda di tubuh pesan e-mail yang Anda kirim. Tonjolkan fakta-fakta penting dan menarik saja.

10 Tips Atasi Gagal Melamar Kerja!

Mencari kerja di masa krisis sungguh tidak gampang. Salah satu yang bisa “disiasati” adalah mencermati persiapan dalam melamar pekerjaan. Jangan sampai hanya karena alpa mempersiapkan persyaratan yang telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan, kesempatan kerja yang sudah tipis pun melayang.

Untuk mencapai hasil maksimal, perlu kiranya diketahui kesalahan-kesalahan yang sering timbul dalam rangka melamar kerja. Berikut ada 10 kesalahan umum yang acap kali dilakukan oleh pencari kerja.

Surat-surat tidak lengkap
Periksa dahulu kelengkapan dokumen Anda sebelum melangkah ke luar dari rumah. Ketidaklengkapan dokumen merupakan salah satu kesalahan fatal yang berakibat ditolaknya permohonan kerja. Jika Anda termasuk orang yang ceroboh, mintalah bantuan kerabat dekat atau teman untuk memeriksa dokumen yang dibutuhkan.

Datang terlambat
Kebiasaan jam karet yang biasanya bersifat menular sebaiknya ditinggalkan. Banyak perusahaan asing yang tidak mentoleransi keterlambatan calon pelamar, khususnya ketika diundang untuk mengikuti serangkaian tes. Untuk mengatasinya, cobalah sehari sebelum tanggal tes melakukan survai. Tambahkan setengah jam dari waktu tempuh yang diperlukan.

Berpakaian kurang sopan

Jangan meremehkan hobi
Bila Anda memiliki hobi unik yang diperkirakan bisa membantu kreativitas kerja, tak ada salahnya dicantumkan dalam CV. Biasanya pimpinan perusahaan lebih menyukai pekerja yang berbakat dalam bidangnya. Bila kegemaran itu merupakan faktor penting dalam posisi yang dilamar, ada baiknya ditulis sesudah perincian pengalaman kerja.

Salah tulis atau sebut nama
Pimpinan perusahaan akan sakit hati seandainya namanya ditulis atau diucapkan secara keliru. Hal ini akan mempengaruhi kewibawaan dan reputasinya. Usahakan agar meneliti kembali saat menulis nama orang dalam surat lamaran atau menyapa seseorang.

Melebih-lebihkan keterampilan
Umumnya penyeleksi akan lebih jeli akan hal ini. Mereka akan terus meneliti bagian-bagian dalam CV atau daftar riwayat hidup yang dianggap terlalu dibuat-buat. Malahan ada yang mempersiapkan tes praktik langsung untuk menguji kebenaran laporan Anda. Oleh sebab itu jangan coba-coba menonjolkan sesuatu yang tidak Anda miliki.

Bicara berbelit-belit

5. Participate in respective Countries and Regional Planning PSC audit execution by Host Authorities and/or partners so as to ensure good governance and prudent operatorships.

b. Pada sudut kiri atas bagian depan amplop lamaran ditulis : jurusan/kualifikasi pendidikan;
c. Daftar Riwayat Hidup;
d. Foto kopi ijazah dan transkrip nilai (IPK) yang telah dilegalisir ASLI oleh pejabat yang berwenang; (Surat Keterangan Kelulusan/Ijazah sementara tidak dapat diterima);
