CARDI, an international NGO consortium providing support to persons affected by conflict and natural disaster is looking for qualified national candidates to fill in position to be based in Jailolo, Sahu, Ibu (North Maluku) :

CDR Community Mobilization Project Office (Code : CM PO – NM)

Scope of work

Under supervision of CDR-Field Coordinator, the primary responsibility of the Community Mobilizer Project Officer is to lead all stages of organizational tasks and capacity building for selected beneficiaries at the village and sub-district level; to utilize participatory principles, to work constructively with a wide variety of people in a rural setting, to ensure the achievement of stated project objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

·To design village and sub-district based-community mobilization strategy;
·To facilitate the establishment of sub-district based partners;
·To ensure quality management of the provisioned CDR sub-grants for beneficiaries;
·To develop and maintain strong community relationships;
·To assess community needs and provide recommendations to achieve project objectives;
·To identify and carry out capacity building activities with community members;
·To maintain detailed information of targeted communities;
·To incorporate participatory principles into community-level CDR project activities;
·To support achievement of gender equity in regard to field activities;
·To ensure beneficiaries satisfaction, identify needs and concerns regarding project implementation;
·To provide recommendations on possible program policy and procedure adjustment;
·Supervise community mobilize assistant;
·Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.


REQUIREMENTS

·University degree in economy, social sciences or other relevant field;
·Very strong interpersonal qualities, organization skills and sense of initiatives;
·Knowledgeable and proven experience of community based projects and participatory methodology, preferably with INGOs;
·Computer literacy;
·English fluency is highly appreciated.
